The images of animations above are made by students from Eutaw Marshburn Elementary School and John Eager Howard Elementary School. I had the priviledge of working with them to create the animations. In the video below are six animations made by Eutaw Marshburn Elementary students.

After graduating from the Maryland Institute, the college received a large grant to institutionalize community art making involving Baltimore City children and Maryland Institute students. I was hired as Assistant Director for Student Relations to help make these efforts possible. Our department was called Community Arts Partnerships (CAP). While at CAP I oversaw many projects, but my specialty was creating animations with the students and children. These are stills from some of the animations. We made a range of stop-motion animations using materials from paper and watercolor to clay to food to pipe-cleaners. The children created stories about their community, their future and narratives they made up. Some where group projects and others were individual projects.
